As the first ever international disability summit begins in London, Kate Holt, in partnership with Humanity and Inclusion, reports from Kakuma refugee camp in northern Kenya, sharing the stories of refugees and locals who live and cope with disabilities in the most hostile of environments.

- Juma Johanesm, a refugee from South Sudan who fled to Kenya after being threatened during the civil war between South Sudan and Khartoum in 2002, poses for a photograph in his living quarters in Kakuma Camp , Kenya July 16, 2018. Juma was born disabled and struggles to make a living fixing peopel's broken shoes. His wife has left him because of his disablity and he says he suffers from disrimination because of it.

- Chrisitine Abwel who is from Kakuma, and who suffered from Polio as a child, poses for photographs in her shop that was built for her as part of a project to help peoel with disablities from the host community in Kakuma , Kenya Saturday, July 14, Christina says that before the refugees arrived in Kakuma there was no support from the Kenyan government for people with disabilities like her and it was only when the NGO's arrived to support the refugees came that she was able to get a wheelchair and was given help with her shop by Humanity and Inclusion.

Istarlin was born blind and is the eldest of seven children. She attended blind school in Somalia before the war intensified and her family fled to Kenya in search of security. Humanity and Inclusion have trained her how to use a special computer and are helping her to find a job in Kakuma camp as a translator. Deborah fled from war in the Congo with her sisters five children afters she died and has been given a tricycle to help with her mobility by Humanity and Inclusion. She can't find work to supplment her food ration however becuase of her disabilty and sometimes her children go hungery.
